Namhae studio notes: remote workshops that still feel local
Network App Studio is based in Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. Many client teams join from Seoul, Busan, or overseas offices. The geography is real; the workshop design has to account for it without turning the session into a slide monologue.
We run Analytics Schema Workshops in four timed blocks: journey selection, event nomination, property negotiation, and a parking lot for implementation questions. Each block ends with a photographed whiteboard or shared board snapshot so remote participants keep the same artifact the room sees.
Time-zone gaps are handled by sending a pre-read packet 48 hours ahead — current screens, known pain points, and two decision questions. People arrive ready to argue about interaction meaning instead of learning the product mid-call.
When teams can visit, the coastal studio setting helps. Walking a printed journey across a long table is different from scrolling a board. Either way, the output stays the same: a schema draft your group can defend next week in front of engineering.
